ATHLETEMASTER PRIVACY POLICY (April 09, 2008)About AthleteMasterAthleteMaster was created to allow athletes, coaches and sport fans to come together and admire the hard work and dedication that comes with the pride and glory of being a part of a sport.AthleteMaster allows our members to set up unique personal profiles that can be linked together through networks of friends. AthleteMaster members can view each others' profiles, communicate with friends and meet new friends online, share photos and describe their interests. We request and display some personal information to other members and visitors, which allows our users to identify each other and expand their network of friends. AthleteMaster members can change their sport and profile information at any time. Information Collection and Use by AthleteMasterAthleteMaster collects user submitted information such as name, email address, and age to authenticate users and to send notifications to those users relating to the AthleteMaster service. AthleteMaster also collects other profile data including but not limited to: personal interests, gender, age, education and occupation in order to assist users in finding and communicating with each other.AthleteMaster also logs (or may log) the following non-personal information: IP address, click stream data, aggregate user data, browser type, type of connection, etc. This data is used to track how our site is used, enables us to improve our services, and enhances everyoneÆs security. We may be share non-personalized information with third-parties to tailor the ads you see on our site. We identify which members are under the age of 13 so that we can comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule, Federal Trade Commission 16 CFR Part 312. Because some of our members are under the age of 13, to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule, we are providing notice on this site and also by email to parents with respect to the collection, use, and disclosure of children's personal information. As a part of the registration process, we flag all users that are under the age of 13 and require that these registrants provide their parent's email address. Parents are then sent the disclosures and request for approval by email. Members are under the age of 13 can register only with parentÆs approval. For our members are under the age of 13 parents are responsible for monitoring of using AthleteMaster website. We recommend that minors over the age of 13 ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet. We use the personal information and registrant preferences we collect to make our member services function properly. Specifically, we use your email address to send you disclosures and any other direct-to-parent correspondence related to your child. We use the username and password to identify your child when they enter the site so that he or she is granted permission to use the services offered on the site. User information, which may include photos and names, are displayed to people in order to facilitate AthleteMaster member interaction. Email addresses are used for that purpose and for purposes of notifying or communicating with members. We do not transfer the email lists we have to any third parties, or use them for any other purpose. Members may choose to opt out of all but system-wide notices by selecting the corresponding option on their member page. AthleteMaster stores the email addresses that members provide, but the recipients of email from AthleteMaster members may contact AthleteMaster to request the removal of their information from our database. AthleteMaster allows users to make initial contact with one another by means of invitations, which do not reveal the contact address of the invitation recipient. Invitations may always be declined. If you post information to any public portion of our site, obviously that that information can be accessed and used by the public. Use of CookiesAthleteMaster uses cookies in the same way most membership web sites do: to store member preferences and to record session information, and to customize our advertising if any. None of the cookies contains personally identifiable information. If you configure your browser to reject cookies you will not be able to access some of the functions of our site; if you allow your browser to accept session cookies only, you will have to re-enter your information each time you visit our site (although your browser may have an auto-fill feature). From time to time third party advertisers may present ads and request to set cookies when you visit our site. Advertisers' use of cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not the ours.SecurityWe use reasonable measures to protect member information that is stored within our database, and we restrict access to member information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as our customer service personnel and technical staff. Nonetheless, although we will make our best efforts to ensure security of member information, we cannot guarantee it. We may transfer all our databases to a successor but if we do so we will attempt to ensure that the successorÆs privacy protections are at least as good as ours. Changes in Our Privacy PolicyWe may change this privacy policy from time to time. All such changes will be posted to our site.
